As a company, Competitive Power Ventures (CPV) strives on a daily basis to create positive two-way channels of communication between our company and the communities in which our projects are located. These communications take the form of personal interactions, e-mail, newsletters and a web presence. To ensure that people can easily reach us at any time, we also set up toll-free numbers for each project on each of our project websites. When people don't know of any other way to reach us, this number is easy to find and always available.
Unfortunately, during the past few days it has come to our attention that some less than scrupulous individuals have taken advantage of this openess and have hijacked our toll-free number for the Valley Energy Center. In the parlance of modern day electronic communications, some unethical person or group has been "spoofing" our number to make unsolicited calls to individuals. When these calls come through, the caller ID identifies the caller as being CPV and displays our toll free CPV Valley Energy Center phone number. As such, we have had to change the toll-free phone number on the Valley Energy Center website to:
